Queenstown Golf Club is a stunningly scenic golf course located at the tip of the Kelvin Peninsula, just a 15 minutes drive away from central Queenstown or 5 minutes by water taxi. The course is surrounded by Lake Wakatipu with the Remarkables Mountain Range providing a picture postcard natural amphitheatre for photographers. Queenstown will challenge all levels of golfers but at the same time will be an enjoyable experience with not too much time spent looking for balls.
The course is not long by modern-day standards, and considering how it is surrounded on all sides by water, it is perhaps surprising that the lake only really comes into play on one hole. But this rather beautifully contoured hole, the 5th, curves majestically round to the left, with Lake Wakatipu looming, waiting to swallow any hook or pull off the tee. The club offers cafe & bar facilities along with a well stocked golf shop, with club and cart hire available.
