Situated on the Causeway coast and only a 20 minute drive from both Royal Portrush and Portstewart, the Championship Mussenden Course at Castlerock Golf Club is a more than worthy neighbour to both of these iconic links courses of Ireland. Designed and laid out in the existing nature, the course features tough doglegs, sloped fairways and tricky greens which often have several plateaus. Fairways winds between the railroad and the sea and the surroundings are second to none.
The best-known hole is the fourth, called the Leg o’Mutton, a 200-yard par-3 with a railway line to the right, a stream to the left and a raised green. Castlerock is also home to the newer Bann Links – a full-length, nine-hole course that plays on some of the club’s finest duneland. Castlerock Golf Club belongs to the category 'worth driving for and certainly an experience from the top shelf with one of Ireland's best links courses.
